TFW News & Upcoming Events
This Friday night's TFW card will include a ladder match for the TFW Tag Team Championship. Champions Parental Advisory (Studd & Tony) will defend against The Southern saints (Chris Styles & Josh Matthews). The belts will be hung above the ring in opposite corners, and whoever gets them will be champions. This creates the possibility of a member of the Southern Saints and a member of Parental Advisory being Tag Team Champions.
Also on the card is a cage match to settle a grudge, Neil "the Real Deal" Taylor vs. "Southern Thunder" Chris Kilgore.
This is going to be a wild show! Don't miss it!
In two weeks there will be another cage match for the TFW Championship. "Prime Time" Nick Grimes (champion) will defend against former champion Max Steele in a cage!
On April 11, 2008, Buff Bagwell returns to TFW!

Alternative Pro Wrestling will hold a tournament on February 1 at the Royston Gym to determine the first North Georgia Heavyweight Champion. First round match-ups are Jeremy Vain versus Justin Dirt; Chris King versus Dustin Powers; Aaron Lee versus Chase Darkness; and Don Matthews versus Seth Delay. The semis will feature the Vain-Dirt winner against the King-Powers winner, with Lee or Darkness against Matthews or Delay, leading to the final round. Other matches include J.T. Talent and Jacob Ashworth versus Bo Newsome and Slim J. If Newsome and J win, Newsome gets a shot at Talent’s Southern States Heavyweight Title at a later date. Chikara King of Trios 2008
King of Trios 2008 draws near, and today we add the most unusual trio to the tournament ranks yet (and that's really saying something)! Reuniting for the first time in years, Demolition is back in action, and Ax and Smash will bring their reunion tour to King of Trios by teaming with none other than One Man Gang! And if that's not enough to get you going, we're going to publicly announce another trio this weekend at "Two Eyebrows are Better than One!

"Wrestlers from all across the US - as far away as Hawaii - as well as from Canada and Europe have already been confirmed for tournament action this year. Trios madness runs rampant starting Friday night, February 29th, and continuing on both Saturday, March 1st and Sunday afternoon, March 2nd. Half of the participating teams will wrestle on Night 1, the other half on Night 2, and the survivors will clash on Night 3. All three days of the tournament will be hosted at the New Alhambra (the former ECW Arena) in South Phildadelphia, and this event will feature more trios action than you can shake a stick at!

Last WCEW show, Tommy Vandal and Dick Foley were going after the vacant Extreme Title, in an Extreme Present Match. After 3 of the 4 presents were used, and proven not to be the title, a Santa Claus walking around the ring, hit the ring, and laid waste to both Tommy and Dick. After he climbed the ladder, and grabbed the last present and the belt, he took off the beard, hair, and glasses to show the world, Aaron Devil. His followers, Scrapyard Dog, Kid Evil, and DZ Hyde hit the ring, and Bad Religion destroyed Tommy Vandal and Dick Foley, until the locker room emptied. After 3 of the 4 presents were used, and proven not to be the title, a Santa Claus walking around the ring, hit the ring, and laid waste to both Tommy and Dick. After he climbed the ladder, and grabbed the last present and the belt, he took off the beard, hair, and glasses to show the world, Aaron Devil. His followers, Scrapyard Dog, Kid Evil, and DZ Hyde hit the ring, and Bad Religion destroyed Tommy Vandal and Dick Foley, until the locker room emptied. CHIKARA: Sunday, January 27 in Hellertown, PA!
Our first event of 2008, "Two Eyebrows are Better than One" was originally slated to go down on the campus of Moravian College. Well, last week, the bureaucrats there decided they didn't want to help us raise money for the American Red Cross. We see how it is. So, we're taking our show on the road - right back to our favorite Lehigh Valley venue, the American Legion Hall in Hellertown (just 5 miles away).
Even though the Moravian up-and-ups gave us the boot, we're still going to donate the show's proceeds to the American Red Cross under the same provisions we had originally struck up with those collegiate clowns. Needless to say, tickets to our Moravian show will be honored at the American Legion.
This event, technically a pre-season extravaganza, will feature a host of your favorite CHIKARA stars, and there's still another match or two on tap we haven't told you about. One amendment to an earlier press release, however. When this event was originally scheduled to take place at Moravian College, certain technological advances in Johnston Hall were going to allow us to simulcast a special live program from the event to our internet fans around the world. Unfortunately, with the move to the American Legion Hall, this is no longer possible. Please accept our apologies and direct any and all complaints to the Dean at Moravian.

Even though the Moravian up-and-ups gave us the boot, we're still going to donate the show's proceeds to the American Red Cross under the same provisions we had originally struck up with those collegiate clowns. Needless to say, tickets to our Moravian show will be honored at the American Legion.
This event, technically a pre-season extravaganza, will feature a host of your favorite CHIKARA stars, and there's still another match or two on tap we haven't told you about. One amendment to an earlier press release, however. When this event was originally scheduled to take place at Moravian College, certain technological advances in Johnston Hall were going to allow us to simulcast a special live program from the event to our internet fans around the world. Unfortunately, with the move to the American Legion Hall, this is no longer possible. Please accept our apologies and direct any and all complaints to the Dean at Moravian.

A new promotion called the Power Pro Wrestling Alliance will debut at the Deer Lick Park Gymnasium in Douglasville, GA, on January 26. The doors open at 6:30 PM and matches start at 7:30 PM. Promoter Ricky Spears said, “We are going to run shows about every two weeks. We plan on running at least six matches.” Bull Buchanan is scheduled to wrestle Bulldog Raines in the main event. There is also a battle royal on the bill. Frankie Valentine, Cru Jones, J-Rod, Dark Star, Kid Lightning, Bubba Kaiser, and Dark Gable are also being advertised. More names may be added.

NWA Anarchy 1/19 in Cornelia, GA
NWA Anarchy returns to the NWA Arena in Cornelia, GA, for a television taping on January 19. In hour number one, Jeff Lewis squared off with Slim J, with the winner earning a title shot in hour number two against Anarchy Heavyweight Champion Shatter (w/ Jeff G. Bailey). Also on the card: the Devil's Rejects defend the Anarchy Tag Team Title against the Awesome Attraction; Jimmy Rave versus Sal Rinauro; Melissa Coates versus Brodie Chase; Todd Sexton versus Adrian Hawkins; Iceberg versus the Regular Guys in a handicap match; and in 8-man action, thee Hollywood Brunettes & Talent & Money versus Billy Buck, Chris King & New Wave. We are weeks away from the Ultimate Pro Wrestling Challenge. Now all 14 positions have been filled and already the competition is getting fierce. All eyes will be on Piedmont, AL as wrestlers from all over the country converge on the Piedmont Civic Center, Saturday, March 8, 2008.
Now here’s the complete lineup of the Ultimate Pro Wrestling Challenge.
Derrick King, Bull Dog Rains, Patrick Bentley, Stan Lee, Orion Bishop, The Alabama Jawjacker, Damon Taz, L.O.T.R. Members- Adam Roberts and Kevin White and their illustrious leader Jack Lord, Latin Star Yaki, the Tap Master Chris Badstreet, Johnny Slaughter, Mike Mason and Bull Buchanan. There’s the 14 men vying for the title of Ultimate Pro Wrestler.
We begin the night with the ever dangerous Blindfold Battle Royal. For anyone who has never seen this it’s truly worth the price of admission alone. 14 wrestlers blindfolded and in the ring all in the same time. The only way to be eliminated is over the top rope. You can imagine the test ahead for the "14" as they are flung into darkness and have to feel their way around not knowing who they will come in contact with. This is one of the most exciting matches you will ever see.
Our last combatant to sign is the 6’9" Bull Buchanan. Buchanan sent his request to be in the Ultimate Pro Wrestling Challenge. Buchanan just off a successful tour of the orient has made it clear he’s up for the challenge. He will be a force to be reckoned with no doubt.

John Hawkins Promotions: "Tennessee Redneck" Chris Richards, "Mr. Happy" Bryan Wayne, "The Cold" Alyx Winters, & The Disciple.
John Hawkins will be handcuffed to CW Commissioner Chuck Roberts and Mr. Bolo will be barred from Ringside during this match!
The Rules:
1 Man from each team will start the match.
After 5 minutes, A coin toss will be held between the 2 teams, the team that wins the coin toss will then send another person into the cage, making it 2 on 1 for next 2 minute period.
At the end of those 2 minutes, the team who lost the coin toss will send a member into the cage evening the odds at 2 on 2. Wrestlers will continue to enter the cage every 2 minutes following the same pattern until all 8 wrestlers are in the ring. The match can only end when 1 wrestler submits or surrenders.

There will be 4 Qualifying Matches earlier in the night... The Winners of those matches will compete in a 4 Way Cage Match... The Only way to win this match is to Race to the Top and escape from the Cage.
The Winner of this Match will receive an open contract for any match, at any time, with any stipulation against anybody on the CW Roster!
