The United Wrestling League is gearing up for it's next event coming live to Cleveland, TN, Friday, April 4, 2008. After a tremendous crowd at the Ultimate Pro Wrestling Challenge we head to Cleveland for Homecoming 2008: the Return of the United Wrestling League. It's been a long time coming and the time is here.

This time we are heading to the Village Green Playhouse at the Village Green Towncenter. There's not a bad seat in the house as we get ready for this event. We are honored to announce a new member of our broadcast team. A man who is no stranger to "true" wrestling fans the world over. In tag team wrestling there's never been a more dominate force. He was a major creative force as wrestling came to cable television. A member of the original Four Horsemen and probably the meanest man in wrestling. He's a member of the Minnesota Wrecking Crew, Ole Anderson. We are proud to welcome Ole to the United Wrestling League. He made it just this plain, "If I like something, you will know it and if I don't, you will regret it".

Already signed for this event is the Ultimate Pro Wrestler - Stan Lee. Lee captured the title at the Ultimate Pro Wrestling Challenge as well as the respect of everyone who witness this upset. He was on top of his game in the final round against Orion Bishop. Lee got the win however Bulldog Rains took the medal. Rains lost early to Bishop in a very controversial decision and then said he was the reason Lee had won so I'm taken what should have been mine. Rains sucker punched Lee and left with the medal. Rains signed a match to wrestler Lee for the medal but pulled out at the last moment saying, "If Lee wants my medal he's gonna have to earn it, beat Orion Bishop on your own". Bulldog Raines has been barred from competing in the UWL till he honors his agreement to face Lee. It has been signed the return match as Ultimate Pro Wrestler Stan Lee faces Orion Bishop. Bishop unhappy with what took place says he will be having someone to look over his affairs from the moment on.

Another match already signed, Jack Lord will be presenting the New Lords of the Ring. Last time Lord and the LOTR injured Bull Buchanan with a triple spike piledriver on the floor of the Piedmont Civic Center. Buchanan made a valiant effort in the semi final round against Orion Bishop but was unable to continue. A few days after the event Jack Lord and John Slaughter had a difference of opinion. Slaughter has cut all ties to Lord and the LOTR. Now the New Lords of the Ring will face the Alabama Jawjacker Damon Taz and Bull's Cousin Don "the Machine" Buchanan. This will be a 2 out of 3 fall match. Before he left Bull Buchanan left a stirring message for everyone involved. It can been seen soon on www.unitedwrestling.net.

We will be announcing more matches as we get closer to the event. We have gotten word that Bill "Superstar" Dundee will be returning to the ring in this event. The Winner Derrick King will also be there. Go to www.unitedwrestling.net for more information.
